You get better because
we work together!

Admin Team WorkingAt National Spine Care, our Client Care Coordinators are asked many questions about our Downtown Calgary Chiropractic Health and Wellness services. Below are some of the more frequently asked questions we encounter.

If you have a question you want answered, please either call us directly at (403) 270-5252 or use our handy contact form to send us your questions.

Q) How long does a treatment take and how many sessions do I have before I see results?

A) A specific treatment can take anywhere from 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the location and severity of a patient’s condition. Positive results are often seen following the first treatment. An assessment would provide a more patient-specific estimate of the number of treatments required to gain the best results.

Q) Is Active Release Therapy (ART) painful?

A) Generally ART is not painful. However, comfort levels vary with each individual. At times ART can be described as mildly uncomfortable, but the therapeutic benefits easily outweigh any tenderness felt during a treatment.

Q) Will my extended insurance cover Active Release Therapy (ART)?

A) Extended insurance and health spending accounts may fully cover the patient portion of the fee. We recommend contacting your extended insurance company to confirm the details of your policy. We are happy to assist you if you require any paperwork completed in this process.

Q) Where is there parking on 10 Avenue SW around your clinic?

A) There is two hour free street parking on 10th ave as well as in the surrounding neighborhood. We have 7 stalls in our parking lot. The lot is at the east end of the building adjacent to our clinic entrance door.  Please park only in NSC designated spots.

Q) How close are you to the C-Train?

A) We are only one block walking distance to the west from the Sunalta C-Train station. That is the first stop out of the downtown core on the West Line.

Q) Do I need a referral to your Sports Medicine Physician?

A) Your referral can come from any provider with an Alberta Health Services Prac ID so that could be a family doc, physiotherapist or chiropractor. So if you are already a patient of National Spine care or one our self-refers, we can have one of our chiros or physios do an in-house referral to facilitate the consult.
