Dr. Kyle Ricord first became interested in sports medicine as a pentathlete competing for the University of Calgary. He pursued a joint degree in kinesiology and athletic therapy and was the athletic trainer for both the wrestling team and track and field before pursuing a medical doctorate. He completed his MD degree from the University of Calgary and is now working towards his sports medicine certificate.
He also has a keen interest in musculoskeletal injuries and injectable modalities such as prolotherapy, hyaluronic acid, and PRP (platelet rich plasma).
He remains active by competing in soccer, weightlifting and running with his dog, Shy.
Dr. Kyle Ricord is also a firefighter with the Calgary Fire Department and enjoys serving the citizens of Calgary when he’s not treating patients.
